Terms of Service for CourseModule

2. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Site, including the ability to create and sell courses, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update this information as needed.

3. Media Upload

As a user of CourseModule, you may upload images or videos ("Media") to your account. By uploading Media, you grant CourseModule a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your Media as part of the Services, including for marketing or promotional purposes, without any further consent from you.

4. Copyrighted Content

You agree that you will not upload any copyrighted content, including but not limited to images, videos, or text that you do not own or have explicit permission to use. If CourseModule receives a valid copyright infringement notice, we reserve the right to remove the content, suspend the user’s account, and possibly delete the entire course associated with the infringement.

If you believe content uploaded by another user infringes your copyright, you can contact us to request removal by emailing us at hello@coursemodule.com. We will take appropriate action, including removing the media or course if necessary.

5. Course Creation and Sales

CourseModule allows you to create and sell courses. Users can create and upload course content for a one-time fee. Once a course is created, it can be set as public, private, or accessible via a direct link. Course creators agree to pay a 10% commission on any sale, plus Stripe's payment processing fees. This helps cover transaction costs and ensures the platform remains sustainable.

6. Payments and Refunds

Courses and plans are sold as a one-time purchase. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, and CourseModule ensures proper distribution of funds according to the specified commissions. Course payments are generally final and non-refundable, except under the following conditions:

• Course Purchases: You may request a refund within 7 days of purchase, provided that you have completed less than 15% of the course content.
• One-time Payment Plans: You are eligible for a refund within 7 days of purchase. If a refund is granted, your course and associated content will be deleted.

7. Promotions

CourseModule may offer periodic promotions, including but not limited to discounts, special offers, or other marketing incentives. These promotions are subject to specific terms and may be changed or withdrawn at any time without notice.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content and Media you upload to CourseModule, but you grant CourseModule a license to use, display, and distribute that content as part of the Services. You are responsible for ensuring that the content you upload does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights.

9. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.
• Use CourseModule for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity.
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Services in any way.

10. Termination of Account

CourseModule reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate any of the terms outlined in this Agreement. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@coursemodule.com.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CourseModule shall not be liable for any damages, loss of profits, or other damages arising from the use or inability to use the Site or Services. This limitation applies even if CourseModule has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary.

13. Changes to the Terms of Service

CourseModule reserves the right to update or change these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the "Effective Date" at the top will be updated. Your continued use of the Site after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
